Search Warrants Executed

Dear All,

Early this morning, your Vincent Square ward team, with support from proactive unit officers, executed search warrants at two properties on the ward. We applied for the warrants from the court yesterday, building on intelligence carefully gathered from partner agencies, the local community and our own observations concerning drug activity at the addresses. 

We forced entry to both and discovered a number of occupants including some who are well known to us. Full searches of all persons and the premises took place; weapons and drugs were found which have subsequently been seized. We were also able to significantly develop our intelligence picture around the supply of drugs into the local area as a result of these warrants.

We are now in the process of applying for closure orders for both addresses, in order to prevent further disturbance to the local community. We hope that today's actions are proof of our determination to disrupt the local drug supply and improve the lives of local residents. We are grateful for your ongoing support and cooperation in helping us to tackle drug supply on our ward.
